They are available in some of the same popular door ranges as our Made to Measure kits, but they are designed to fit a set height of 2260mm and different widths from 1145mm to 3660mm, depending on the door range and the number of doors chosen on each kit. Our standard-size kits are designed specifically with straightforward DIY installation in mind, making them perfect for competent DIYers. You do not need professional joinery skills. If you are comfortable using basic tools such as a tape measure, spirit level, battery drill, screwdriver, and a hand saw for trimming the tracks, you will be able to install these doors with ease. Our standard door kits all come with fitting instructions, ensuring installation runs as smoothly as possible.
Each kit includes your chosen number of high-quality standard-width doors (available in combinations of two, three, or four) along with a free matching top and bottom track set. Please note that general fixings such as screws and wall plugs are not included, as the exact fixings you need will depend on whether you are securing the tracks into plasterboard or timber.
The main differences between the two are the dimensions and the manufacturing source. Our made-to-measure kits are custom-built to your exact dimensions in our Nottinghamshire factory offering a wider choice of door ranges, colours and panel configurations. Our standard-size kits are supplied and delivered by SpacePro to fit a fixed opening height of 2260mm. They use set door widths of 610mm, 762mm, and 914mm to accommodate set overall opening widths. The colour choices and panel configurations are also set. Making them a highly cost-effective option.
Yes, some basic on-site trimming is required to get a precise fit for your bedroom. While the doors themselves are pre-assembled to the fixed height of 2260mm, the top and bottom tracks are supplied in lengths that you will need to cut down using a standard hacksaw or hand saw to match the exact width of your opening.
Because these standard SpacePro kits require a strict opening height of 2260mm, they will not fit larger floor-to-ceiling gaps out of the box. However, you can still easily use them by building a small timber drop-bulkhead or header structure down from your ceiling to lower the opening height to the required 2260mm. If you prefer not to build additional framing, we recommend using our made-to-measure service instead.
The door kits focus entirely on the exterior doors and tracks. However, they are designed to work seamlessly alongside our modular interior storage systems, which can be purchased separately to give you complete control over your hanging rails, shelving, and drawer layouts.
It depends on your bedroom floor and walls. Unlike our made-to-measure builder, where liners are pre-selected, we advise reading the individual standard product descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you are fitting the bottom track onto a carpeted floor, we highly recommend purchasing a bottom liner to create a firm, level base. If your walls have skirting boards, a wall liner allows the doors to close flat without leaving gaps. You can purchase additional parts such as these from our parts shop.
