Over the last couple of months, the world has changed drastically and with it consumer behavior patterns. The lockdown has impacted how we work, live, and spend our money and time. A business’s ability to adapt has not only become crucial to surviving this global pandemic but has also unlocked unsuspected resources.

At Slide Wardrobes Direct, we’ve seen an unprecedented increase in demand once the “save and stockpile” phase of the pandemic started to decline and the “buy local” trend accelerated. However, with numerous retailers closing doors and consumers across the globe looking at products and brands through a new lens, changes had to be done.

Reshaping Our Delivery Model

The safety of our customers and staff is paramount during this difficult time so we have rolled out contactless deliveries in order to avoid the spread of Covid-19. We’ve established an excellent reputation for our products’ superior quality. To protect this we use our own vans and drivers so we can ensure that the product reaches you in pristine condition.

Despite the adversities, we’ve been able to maintain our 2 to 3 week delivery turnaround, free of charge on orders over £500. In order to ensure someone will be present at the delivery address, we will contact you at least 48 hours prior to delivery and you will be given a delivery slot so you don’t have to wait in all day.

Furthermore, our drivers follow a strict and social distancing safety guide that you can read all about here.

"Buy-local"

Local Manufacturing

With the UK registering a record 20.4% collapse in its gross domestic product (GDP) this past April, the desire to shop locally is reflected in both the products consumers buy and the way they shop. On one hand, consumers are shifting to online and digital solutions as well as reduced-contact channels to get goods and services. On the other hand, they are buying locally to support the community and help the economy back on its feet.

At Slide Wardrobe Direct we don’t operate a traditional showroom that inflates the cost of your purchase. Instead, we offer you all the resources to design and buy your bespoke sliding wardrobe doors from the comfort of your own home, at the best prices.

Furthermore, we manufacture all our products in our own factory in Newark, Nottinghamshire, cutting out the middlemen and giving us full control over the quality of your order. This has also allowed us to meet the rising demand for our products brought by an increase in property improvements across the UK.
